Wonderful Wraps

I popped in to Wrap It Up the other day, in Aldermanbury which is a 5 minute walk from St Paul’s station. They have 2 vegan options on the menu, so I got 1 of each.

The first option was a pumpkin, potato and chickpea roti with a tamarind sauce. I loved the flavours of this, it was full of richness from the creamy pumpkin and the tamarind sauce cut through this and the chickpeas added a nice texture to the mix.

The second option was a Mexican burrito, packed full of peppers, coriander and lime rice with black beans, salsa and guacamole. It was a really filling wrap that I (almost) couldn’t finish it. The rice was delicious with the coriander and lime running through the wrap. There was a very generous helping of guacamole, which was a delight.

I thoroughly enjoyed both of these wraps, however if I had to chose between the two I would probably choose the roti, as this is closer to the food I would usually eat. Though it is nice to have more than one option.

The wonderful staff were so happy to help and they knew all of the ingredients in their wraps, which is always nice. Apparently the roti is one of the most popular, so if you are going to try this, I would recommend heading down their early. These are ideal for the Summer, when you just want to grab something filling and delicious for lunch and be on your way. The staff create these gorgeous wraps in a matter of moments, so it won’t be long until you are on your way to enjoy them in the sunshine!
